The government should consider adding emergency medical assistance units especially in urgent cases like what happened last month. Many people got sick at evacuation centers because of poor surroundings. There were hundreds of families in one place and the few comfort rooms at schools could not answer to their call of natures. I wonder how it was there. Since they slept together side by side, viruses easily spread. I am from the Philippines and I am sure most of you heard how a certain typhoon hit us. Though, you could not blame it solely to Ondoy. Today marked the first month anniversary of that disaster. One badly affected town if not the most affected was featured in the news today. The woman who was interviewed touched my heart. She said that what they had worked for eleven years disappeared in one day. However, she is glad that they are alive. They will stand up again.
